Voyant Beauty is an integrated brand partner in the personal care and beauty space. They collaborate with various companies to deliver high-quality personal care and beauty products. In 2019, Voyant Beauty consisted of three separate companies that had been acquired by a private equity group in North America, showcasing their capability in Mergers and Acquisitions.

Challenges Faced

Challenge 1: Multiple IT Systems and Email Platforms

Voyant Beauty was operating as three separate companies, each with its own IT systems, applications, and email platforms, leading to inefficiencies and communication barriers. They needed a unified system to integrate their team and operations seamlessly and improve end user experience in the american market.

Challenge 2: Ensuring Seamless Integration with No Downtime

Migrating from different email platforms, including Lotus Notes and Exchange on-prem, to Microsoft 365 posed the risk of data loss and downtime. Ensuring a smooth transition without disrupting daily operations was critical. Proper permissions and authentication were necessary to maintain security during the transition. With the acquisition of six additional facilities in 2020, Voyant Beauty's employee count grew exponentially from approximately 500 to nearly 2,000. Managing licensing and ensuring compliance during this rapid expansion was a significant challenge. The primary goal was to achieve a cost-effective solution that would support their growing needs, undertanding the complex world of Microsoft licensing and ensuring the company deployed only what was needed at each stage of the migration project lifecycle and during normal business operations.

  1. Unified Email Migration: Migrated Lotus Notes and Exchange on-prem environments to a single Microsoft 365 tenant, consolidating email systems and improving communication. This migration included real-time data validation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  2. Integration of New Acquisitions: Facilitated the integration of six newly acquired facilities, managing the migration and licensing for the expanded workforce. This integration included interactive training modules for the internal team.

Ongoing Support and Licensing Management: Provided continuous support and guidance on Microsoft 365 licensing, ensuring compliance and optimal use of resources. ne Digital also assisted in the optimization of user syncronization,  licensing segmentatioand user experience in the unified tenant for all employees.
